Get the flow and performance your Z needs to run at it's highest potential, without waking the neighbors when you come home late! This completely re-designed performance exhaust system includes a completely new FLANGED head pipe to connect to the stock exhaust manifold. The pipe-to-pipe (head pipe plus two long pipes) connections are all by way of flanges. The "turbo" style muffler ("turbo" refers to the designed flow of the exhaust through the muffler, not to a turbocharged engine) is connected to the rear long pipe by a standard clamp. Includes chrome exhaust tip. This complete system replaces all pipes and mufflers from the exhaust manifold to the tailpipe. The long piping is aluminized for long life and corrosion resistance. The extra welding necessary on the head pipe excludes it from the possibility of being aluminized. This is not a factor, however, as the head pipe remains significantly hotter than the rest of the system, and therefore is not as subject to corrosion from condensation. For Federal emissions 280Z's. System includes no provisions for catalytic converter.

All performance exhaust systems, no matter the manufacturer or type, will be louder than the stock exhaust system. This is an unavoidable consequence of reducing back pressure and therefore increasing performance. This is especially true upon acceleration when exhaust pressures are at their highest. This premium system, with a "turbo" style muffler, is no exception. This type of muffler, however, was designed to limit the level of sound, especially when the engine is not being pushed. Therefore while it will be significantly louder under heavy acceleration, it should only have a pleasing "low rumble" tone during normal operation.
